The Cloudy Foundation Enterprise Academy is an online community hub for young people (of all abilities, aged between 14 and 22) to share skills and tech resources for self-guided learning that is supported by alumni peers, educational advisors, and business mentors.
Much like our Tech Lab projects, young people taking part in our Enterprise Academy are enabled and empowered with the technical, creative, and business skills they will need in future, as they work on projects sponsored by partnering organisations.
With the combined impact of Covid-19 and the fourth industrial revolution changing the world of work at a great pace, our Enterprise Academy has been built in recognition of the need for us to invest in upskilling the workforce of tomorrow.
We believe that digital and enterprise skills are part of our future socio-economic operating system and that the responsibility to help young people to develop them cannot just fall to schools. Students, volunteers, and partnering organisations are invited to join us on this journey.

Why We Need the Enterprise Academy
Schools don’t have the capacity to teach the tech skills young people will need for the future.
Employers don’t have the insight into the potential of young people.
Young people don’t have an equal playing field and often don’t know where to start.
But on top of all this, post Coronavirus, young people are about to face the greatest youth employment challenge on record!
Our Enterprise Academy brings all stakeholders together, identifies their needs and creates a real-life centred curriculum to deliver for all.

Facts & Figures
As technology changes, the companies and organisations using it have to change, too, in order to remain competitive. A Microsoft study from 2020 found that the vast majority of senior leaders at universities and colleges are looking for support in preparing young people for a digital workplace where the skills required are quickly evolving. These skills range from being able to confidently use documents, presentations and spreadsheets to at least a working knowledge of data, AI and Cloud.
- Interested participants sign-up online & begin with a personal Welcome Session
- Participants are assigned to a small cohort to work on a realistic or sponsoring organisation's project brief in a safe & inclusive online environment
- Over regular & short learning sessions (1hr per week), participants learn specific skills needed for the project
- Students have freedom to meet the business brief creatively using exciting digital tools & by testing their new skills
- Participants are introduced to workplace skills through a supportive community of education partners, business mentors, and student peers
